5/3/19 Weekly Update.

It has been a case of the highs and lows of greyhound racing for the syndicate this week.

We have had our 83 and 84th winners for the syndicate this week both by TOWSTAR DELBOY, hes quickly gone through the grades at HENLOW winning 4 of his 12 races and will next week will be running in A3 grade, shares are still available for this lightly raced dog.

TOWSTARS ARRY and JESS both had trials again and they continue their long road to recovery. JESS in particular showed shes still got a great level of ability recording a 27.98 trial.

BILLY competed in a very hot open race up at SHEFFIELD in what was a cracking card and wasnt disgraced coming 4th.

POPPY had her very first race for her syndicate members and went off 2nd fav after some great trials, the night got to her a bit though and she didn't trap like we know she can but showed great guts to make up for lost time and will go much better next time out for the experience.

And now the downs, sadly our highly promising dog TOWSTAR MATT suffered a broken leg during his race at MONMORE last week, our lad got a bump going into the first bend and lost his footing, sadly these things do happen in greyhound racing and its how you deal with them that counts the most.

All of our trainers have welfare at the top of their lists when dealing with the hounds and our trainer Emma Richards and her husband Matt and mother in law Wendy, not forgetting kennel hand Owen have all done there very best to make sure MATT was a comfortable as possible and had the very best care, whilst at the track and afterwards.

Wendy spent hours travelling to make sure MATT had the best veterinary care ASAP and I am pleased to say that MATT underwent an operation to pin his broken leg on Monday night and all being well can go back home to the kennels today, where I know he has been sorely missed.

And to end on a more positive note, we are pleased to announce the new name of our new girl from the KEV HUITTON kennels, former name Dream Fairy... new name TOWSTAR CIARA.

Also TOWSTAR ZELDA will be having her first run after positive trials since her season and she is down to run on Thursdays card at HENLOW, shares still available for just £60 each!!
